Kid Mat, a young and cold-hearted outlaw, lives a life mainly consisting of robberies, terrorizing people and running from the law, with the occasional break for booze, women and gambling. However, when he meets a woman who isn’t afraid of him, he starts questioning what this means to him and if he wants to continue living like this. Though can and does Kid Mat want to be a better person than he is now?

Meanwhile, Frederic “Remmington” McOlliver, a key figure from Kid Mat’s past, starts a merciless pursuit with one final goal in mind: seeing the young outlaw hang.
